![]() There no one else around, so there was no need to take it as far as shattering her. Such as when he and Jasper were merely having a sparring match. However, it's still difficult to defend his more violent moments. By the epilogue series Future, he has been shown to repeatedly let his wrathfulness and mental health get the best of him, to the extent it causes the majority of the series' conflicts like nearly squishing his friends because he doesn’t think Lars got over Sadie, nearly causing Greg to crash his car as the result of an argument, temporarily shattering Jasper, thinking about shattering White Diamond, and getting angry at the Gems and Diamonds and anyone who has been doing what they could to reach out to him, even his father, although it's worth noting that some of these actions were completely unintentional, like nearly squishing his friends or causing his dad to crash his car, or were spurred by others, like Jasper encouraging him to be more aggressive. In spite of his downfall, he redeems himself. He established peace to Homeworld Gems.He cures Connie’s blurry blindness, causing her to be able to see and no longer need her glasses anymore. He decided to use his power from Rose Quarts for good to protect his gem family and his family.Plus, a lot of other villains who redeemed themselves also had more to work with, like antagonists who are gems like the Crystal Gems, or human antagonists who had more tools and inventions. Plus, in contrast to Steven himself, the three of them have more stable powers, which shows that Steven has less resources than the Gems, who are admirable, yet have way more powers than Steven started out with. He is the only hero to have good deeds which stands out from other characters, and has been a pacifist in contrast to Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl, who were more than often or not willing to use violence as a go-to solution.Over the time he has saved Beach City from numerous threats like the Diamonds, Peridot, Jasper, Spinel, etc.He refused to have his enemies be shattered or killed and tried to show them kindness and understanding, which gradually led to corrupted Gems eventually redeemed themselves. However, it may have been him acting out of utter hysteria being overwhelmed and carried away many times with his many actions rather than feeling pleasured in hurting others since it isn’t in his nature to do those things, let alone feel happy about doing so. He smiles and laughs a couple of times when recapping his many actions throughout the plot of Steven Universe: Future, showing he could be sadistic. He would much rather make a compromise and choose to reason than fight back. No matter the situation, Steven will always go out of his way to support his loved ones, even if it means putting his life on the line, and he will avoid resorting to violence if possible. He is friendly toward almost everyone he meets (even to his detriment), rarely holds grudges, and is very non-discriminatory, never treating anyone with prejudice, even his enemies. Steven is also very compassionate, something which Pearl notes he inherits from his mother, and he treasures his friends and family. ![]() He is musically inclined, a trait he inherits from his father, with a propensity for breaking out into song and occasionally playing on his ukulele. Steven is an optimistic, friendly, outgoing, soft-hearted and carefree boy with a happy-go-lucky attitude that is appreciated by many of the citizens of Beach City in one way or another. Though he is part of a monumental legacy, Steven is devoted to fulfilling his destiny as protector of humanity, just as his mother was before him. ![]() While only a child, Steven has steadily grown from a tag-along to the Crystal Gems into the team's unofficial leader thanks to his kind-hearted nature and resourcefulness. A human-Gem hybrid as a result of his parentage, Steven is an extraordinarily unique being with innate powers beyond that of both normal humans and Gems.
